The Power of a Smile
Your smile is one of the first things people notice about you. It also has the power to boost your mood and increase positivity around you. So if you’re hiding your smile because you’re ashamed of its color, you could be depriving yourself of these benefits.
Having a discolored smile can put a damper on your self-confidence. That’s why we offer two convenient teeth whitening options for you. You don’t have to feel down about your smile — we can make you proud of the way your teeth look.
Causes of Yellow Teeth
Though many people believe yellow teeth are only caused by poor oral hygiene, that’s not true. Some cases of yellow or stained teeth are due to a lack of brushing and flossing, but many aren’t.
Some of the other causes of discolored teeth include:
- Foods like coffee, wine, tea, and berries
- Medications
- Age-related color changes
- Dental trauma

Teeth Whitening FAQs
Are whitening treatments bad for your teeth?
No, it’s not bad to get your teeth whitened and our in-office whitening treatments are completely safe, fast, and effective. There is a risk of irritation, pain, or damage if not done correctly. Dr. Wirth has the knowledge and experience to provide you with a noticeably whiter, brighter smile in as little as one appointment!
Can you go from yellow to white teeth?
There are a number of factors that can stain your teeth and turn them yellow over time, including aging and genetics. Fortunately, it’s possible to whiten your teeth several shades brighter with in-office whitening treatment. To maintain your ideal shade, we suggest scheduling teeth whitening treatments every few weeks and avoid rich-colored foods and beverages
What can I do to maintain a whiter smile?
After whitening treatment, it’s important to take care of your smile to prevent additional staining and possibly damaging your teeth. Use a soft-bristled brush with lukewarm water when cleaning your teeth, and avoid hot/cold foods for at least a day. We recommend increasing the time between treatments, lowering time spent whitening, and reducing the level of concentration used.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Our in-office whitening solution is safe, effective, and shows results immediately after a single treatment. With proper care and scheduling regular whitening treatments, the effects of a brighter smile can last up to three years. This means coming in every few weeks, maintaining good oral hygiene, and avoiding certain foods and beverages.
